SHarP is a collaborative gardening effort. We strive to address local nutritional needs in the Greater Indianapolis Area by providing fresh produce to neighborhood food banks and educating the community about sustainable gardening practices and the slow food movement. Send us an email or check out the calendar at the bottom of the page for information on how to become involved. Thanks for stopping by!
Donating to the Food Pantry
Please don't forget that you are part of the SHARED Harvest Project garden.
This means that we share our bounty with those less fortunate. The community beds are intended to be taken care of by everyone once they are planted out. Produce in these beds can also be harvested by anyone. Your bed is your own to take care of and last year we set a goal that everyone donate roughly 10% of what they grow in this bed. Their are no donation police, but the bottom line is to help others with what we do. Donations can be taken to St. Vincent de Paul located on 42nd and Boulevard (4202 N Boulevard Place - phone 924-3461). Last season we donated roughly 400 pounds of produce.
