Things are looking good!

Day #1: Trying to beat the rain to get some Super Raised beds built.  Thanks, Todd!

We have accomplished an incredible amount in the past two weeks over at the SHarP garden.  If you haven't driven/walked/stopped by, please do!  With the help of some Butler-Tarkington neighbors, our SHarP volunteer crew, Common Ground Jr. and Sr. High students, Chatard High School students, and a few other garden lovers, the place is actually looking like we could grow something other than dandelions.

Chatard High School Service Day.

A special thanks to our Bishop Chatard High School students (left) who on their service day moved lots of dirt, finished up weeding, and paved the way the next week's mulch delivery.

Another special thanks to the Common Ground Youth Group and its leaders (right and below) for spreading mulch, helping clean up the endless brush piles, planting seeds, and providing me a lot of entertainment watching you eat worms.

Of course there is still plenty of work to do, but I would say the end result (below) of the hard work put in during the last two weeks shows.  We are so blessed to have such great neighbors, volunteers, and contributors.  Keep and eye out coming up for: New flyer box near the SHarP sign (with flyers actually in it), a raspberry/strawberry patch, and lots of seedlings.

Mulch spread and seeds planted.  Good stuff.
